Sierra de La Sagra

La Sagra is a mountain range and a peak located between the municipalities of Huéscar and Puebla de Don Fadrique.

It is the highest point of the Subbetica mountain range and of the Altiplano Granadino; its altitude is 2383 meters above sea level in its highest part (it has a double summit of unequal height).

Its uniqueness lies in its prominence, as it emerges alone surrounded by other areas of lower altitude, in addition, it is the highest peak in Andalusia outside the Sierra Nevada.

Its peaks remain snow-capped during autumn, winter and early spring. It is nestled at the back of the Sierras de Cazorla and Segura, in the extreme north of the province of Granada.

In the municipality of Huéscar, specifically in the estate of La Losa, you can find a Sequoia Forest.
